Tulsi Smarak Bhawan Museum is dedicated to the 16th-century poet-saint Goswami Tulsidas, who composed the Ramcharitmanas, a popular version of the Ramayana in the Awadhi language.
The Tulsi Smarak Bhawan Museum is located on the eastern end of the National Highway at Rajgang Crossing in Ayodhya. It was constructed in 1969 by Shri Vishwanath Das, the then Governor of Uttar Pradesh, in memory of Tulsidas.
The museum houses a large library, a research center, and a cultural center for performing arts. The library contains a collection of books, manuscripts, and journals related to Tulsidas and his works.
The research center, called the Ayodhya Research Sansthan, conducts studies and publishes information about Ayodhya’s literary, cultural, and spiritual aspects.
The cultural center hosts daily recitations of Ramkatha and Ramleela performances from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The museum also displays various artifacts, paintings, and sculptures related to Tulsidas and Lord Rama.

The Tulsi Smarak Bhawan Museum is a place where one can learn about the life and works of Tulsidas, who is revered as a saint and a poet by millions of Hindus. Tulsidas was born in Rajapur in 1532 CE and spent most of his life in Varanasi.
He wrote several works in Hindi and Awadhi languages, but his most famous work is the Ramcharitmanas, which narrates the story of Lord Rama in a simple and devotional style.
Tulsidas also wrote the Hanuman Chalisa, a hymn dedicated to Lord Hanuman, who was a loyal devotee and companion of Lord Rama. Tulsidas is believed to have had a vision of Lord Rama at this place in Ayodhya, where he composed his Ramcharitmanas.

The Tulsi Smarak Bhawan Museum is open from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM every day. The library can be accessed between 10:30 AM – 4:30 PM. The museum is closed on Mondays and the second Sunday of every month.
